Room Hire

Muscliff Community Centre offers a bright, spacious, centrally heated hall suitable for parties, meetings, keep fit and more.

The entrance to the centre is sloping with no steps so suitable for disabled access with double powered doors. There are a number of coat hooks and power points along the wall in the entrance hall with clear access to the toilets and separate disabled toilet.

The fully equipped kitchen is accessible from the entrance hallway and has the following; microwave, electric cooker, kettle and urn, double sink, cutlery and crockery, and a drop-down low level surface suitable for wheelchair users. There is a large serving hatch (with pull down/ push up shutter) opening out to the main hall. There is also a mop and bucket, dustpan and brush and broom.

The large main hall measures approximately 8.25m x 8.5m with 8 mains power sockets and 2 fire extinguishers. There are windows to 3 sides, a double fire door to the back of the hall giving access to the outside space part laid with safety play rubber surface and the remainder laid to grass.

The side room off the main hall has a number of large folding tables, as well as chairs. You will also find the vacuum cleaner stored here.

A music CD player is also available upon request.

You may bring your own alcohol should you wish to hire the hall however the sale of alcohol is not permitted as the premises are not licensed for such.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MUSCLIFF COMMUNITY CENTRE IS A NO SMOKING BUILDING AND THIS ALSO APPLIES TO THE REAR GARDEN AREA

Hire charges

Per 4 hour time slot booking the following tariff of charges applies;

Weekdays - £20.00 (Mon - Friday excluding Friday nights )
Friday nights, £40.00 Saturdays, Sundays - £45.00

All bookings are subject to a £50 deposit which will be refunded within 14 days after the booked event if the conditions of hire are adhered to.

Balance of the booking is to be paid 3 weeks prior to the use of the hall (no reminders will be sent and receipts will only be sent upon request). Alternatively the full amount can be paid at the time of booking. You can pay either online via Paypal, by cash or by cheque made payable to ‘Muscliff Community Association’ (please note if your cheque is returned from the bank marked ‘insufficient funds’ £7.50 will be retained from the deposit to cover bank charges.

If you have membership of the Muscliff Community Association you will qualify for a 10% reduction off the hiring fee (for regular hiring) and one free hire per year. Membership forms can be obtained from the treasurer.
