Bournemouth Community Centres
Welcome to the new Bournemouth Community Centres website, launched May 2011. If you have an event that you would like to advertise with us, then take a look at 'what's on'. Each Community Centre has a 'What's on' page to highlight what is going on in your local area. Full a full listing, 'What's on in Bournemouth'.
If you wish to advertise with us and support local charities then take a look at the different ways we can help your business.
Bournemouth has seven Community Centres around the borough, which have been providing a service to the community for over 20 years. They are Beaufort, Moordown, Kinson, Townsend, Strouden, Muscliff and Ensbury Park Community Centres.
To access the various community centres websites, hover over the name of the centre on the left to reveal their menu and available information.
Bournemouth Borough Council owns the buildings of all of the Community Centres and they are leased to registered charities to run on behalf of the council and their communities.
The Community Associations are made up of a group of dedicated volunteers (not paid Council Staff as lots of people seem to think) who manage the buildings.
If it was not for the dedication of these volunteers, it would be very difficult for the Council to ensure the centres are open as much as they are.
All of the centres are open 7 days a week up to 10pm with a whole host of activities from needle craft groups, painting, martial arts; running groups, darts evenings, music and dance, mother and toddlers groups, lunches, coffee mornings, education and much much more.
