Information on some of the groups that use the Strouden Park Community Centre. For up to date information on each group please check with them directly. These are mainly groups that hire the rooms and promote their own activities.

1/32 Slot Car Racing - Slotcar Mania - the Ultimate Racing Fun Club The Smurf Club meets every month to race 1/32 slot cars, from beginners to enthusiasts, dads and sons and even the occassional mum come to have fun. They do not take it seriously until it comes to race time. Beginners welcome and we can supply a variety of cars for you to race. Adults £5.00 U16 £3.50. Membership available. The track is 21sq m and belongs to The Community Arts & Music Project and is available to hire with all proceeds going to support performing arts workshops for local children. Zumba Gold I am a qualified fitness Instructor who specialises in Zumba fitness and Zumba Gold Zumba Gold is the same latin fusion as Zumba fitness, but is at a slower pace, with less intensity, which makes it ideal for our older active adults. For this age group, it's all about getting out, making new friends, socialising and keeping mobile. It's still the same fun, easy fitness class. The price for this is £4 pay as you go and we have a class every Monday morning at Strouden Commuity Centre at 10.30am The cost is £4 pay as you go or £32 for 10 classes paid up front. Whist Drive We are a friendly group that hold a Whist Drive at Strouden Park Community Centre every Thursday at 2:15pm.There is a small charge of £2.00 which includes a raffle and half time refreshments. We welcome new members, so please just come along. |

Bournemouth Joggers We’re a ladies only club who meet at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays. usually, we meet at Strouden Park Community Centre, Bradpole Road, Bournemouth BH8 9NU. On the first Monday of each month, we meet at Kings Park Athletic stadium and 2nd Monday and 3rd Thursday at Boscombe Pier for beach sessions. We welcome ladies who can run 3-4 miles already and we can coach you up to wherever you want to go! If you’re more experienced already, we have ladies doing races from 5K up to marathon distance so they’ll always be someone for you to run with. No-one gets left behind and if you’re fast already, we’ll do our best to keep up! We invite new ladies do join us for a couple of runs and if they like what we do, it’s £35 to join and that includes a club vest and affiliation to England Athletics. That means that most races you enter, you can enter as an affiliated runner and pay £2 less for the event. We pay £1 each time we run from Strouden Park or Kings Park as we have to pay to use those venues; the beach runs are free. |
