Give or Take Day Information

Give or Take Days are like a jumble sale but without the money! Local people bring along unwanted but usable items, other residents then have the chance to browse and take away items they do want.

You don’t have to give anything to take something new away or vice versa. Ultimately the events encourage reuse of items that would have otherwise ended up in landfill.

Donated items include kitchen gadgets, books, DVD, clothes, children’s toys, general bric-a-brac and many more.

Any electrical items are tested for safety by experts on the day before being allowed to be passed on to potential new owners. Everything else is taken on at the new owner’s risk.

Usually the recycling team are on hand to offer general waste and recycling advice. Also Freecycle often come along to advise on reusing and finding new homes for unwanted items.

If you have any LP's (vinyl), CD's or DVD's you do not want, then please consider donating them to The Community Arts & Music Project (TCAMP). They will gladly take them for their Bournemouth based Charity which helps educate children aged 5-16 through music, dance and drama. Please contact TCAMP who will arrange collection
