Beaufort Community Centre

Investors In PeopleBeaufort Community Association is run by a volunteer group of members who employ staff to run the Centre. The building is owned by Bournemouth Borough Council who lease it to the Association.
We are well aware of the condition of some of our rooms within the Centre but we are self funding and money (as you are well aware) does not stretch very far these days. We need to generate funds in order for the Centre to survive
Help us by using the Centre, whenever possible, so that we can make the rooms more attractive and generate funds to increase our potential.
We are trying to improve our image within the Community and have attained the Investors in People for the Centre, H.E.Y. and an amazing Ofsted report within our Childcare groups.
For further details please do not hesitate to ask.
Beaufort used to be the old Beaufort Secondary School that was due to be demolished. The Southbourne Residents Association worked Main enrancewith the local people and managed to salvage what is left of the Centre.
The Centre was allowed to form provided it become independent and self funding. Beaufort Community Association was set up in 1989 as a Registered Charity.
The Centre is run by a volunteer management committee of up to 15 People plus 5 Officers. They employ a Centre Manager and Deputy Centre Manager to handle the day to day running of the Centre, together with a full time Childcare Co-ordinator and part time childcare staff and receptionist. We have several other part time staff and volunteers.
The Management Committee meet once a month.
Room 3We have a large beautiful hall with a stage and 6 meeting rooms and a gymnasium (which is basically a large empty room suitable for games, martial arts and disco’s).
We have a coffee bar which is open most days or refreshment can be brought from reception and taken to the coffee bar.
Beaufort operates its own Childcare group (BEAUFORT CHILDCARE GROUPS) which consists of Playgroup; After School Club, Breakfast Club and All Day Care facilities. Beaufort also has its own dance school (DANCE ATTACK) and Scrabble club and Bingo sessions.
